Out With The Old
After 5½ successful years and over 261 million impressions, it’s time we said goodbye to one of our beloved presses.
In September 2009 we installed our Heidelberg XL105 10 Colour printing press. A revolutionary piece of kit that helped reinforce S&G’s status as the leading lithographic printing company in the UK.
With its CutStar facility, an average running speed of 13,293 sheets per hour over the period it ran at S&G and average make-ready times of 8 minutes, our 10 colour was both extremely efficient as well as producing print of the highest quality. So our thanks to our 10 Colour pressmen Tim, Mike, Simon, Mike, Sean, Kevin, Mike and John for their hard work and getting the best out of this trusted press.
But on 20th June 2015 we said a fond farewell to this press and saw the final sheets of Ultima Design’s “Vector Lite” Brochure printed.
However keeping in line with our ethos of reinvesting in the future, it’s now out with the old and in with the new.
